Blending cutting edge Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, and Sports Science

You're not injured.
You're stuck.

Stuck in the same loop: rest, feel better, try to come back, flare again.

An injury should not halt your momentum.

MEO was built to keep you moving, so you don't have to stop training while the pain settles.

Rest Feel better Come back Flare again

SOUND FAMILIAR?

You're doing everything right.
It's still not working.

This usually isn't a discipline problem. It's a structure problem.

You've rested it. You've seen someone about it. But it's still there. Or maybe it's something new, and it won't go away. Every unanswered question costs you another week of training, forces you to cross another event off the calendar, and leaves you even more frustrated. You don't need more rest, you need better answers.

You've probably heard...

01

"Just rest it and see how it feels in a few weeks."

So you did. You gave it weeks, then eased back in carefully. But it flared anyway, because rest was never a plan, it was just the absence of one.

02

"You should probably stop training for a while."

No modified plan. No "here's what you can still do." Just an open-ended stop, leaving you to figure out the rest for yourself.

03

"Try these stretches, they might help."

Three exercises you could've found on the first page of Google, with no explanation of why they were chosen or what they were meant to fix.

04

"We're basically out of time, same again next week?"

A 20 minute slot was never enough to get to the bottom of anything, no matter how good the intent behind it.

THE PROBLEM

The system wasn't built for you.

It was built for the average patient. The person who just wants less pain and is happy to rest until it settles.

That's not you.

You set a 5am alarm. You track your sessions. You've built something over years: a body, a capacity, a version of yourself that only exists because you show up every single day. And right now, all of it feels like it's slipping.

The appointment was 20 minutes. The exercises were the same ones you found on YouTube three weeks ago. And when you asked what returning to training actually looks like, the answer was some version of see how it goes.

That's not a plan. That's a waiting room with a theraband.

THE DEEPER TRUTH

Pain-free isn't the finish line.

Here's what nobody tells you... pain doesn't mean damage. And the absence of pain doesn't mean you're ready.

Your body is always asking one question: can you handle this? Not just today, in a controlled environment, moving carefully. But at full speed, under load, in the positions and patterns your sport actually demands.

Most rehab stops the moment pain does. Which means you return to training with less capacity than you think, for movements you haven't actually prepared for, in patterns your body still can't tolerate under pressure.

So you come back. Three sessions in, it flares. Not because you're unlucky. Not because your body is broken. Because nobody built you back up to what your sport/activity actually asks of you.

You've been treating the symptom. Nobody has treated the athlete.

THE PIVOT

MEO was built for one type of person.

The person who trains before work. Who has a race on the calendar they're not willing to scratch. Who knows exactly what their body is capable of and refuses to accept that injury is the end of that story.

Not the end. The opportunity.

Because returning from injury isn't just about getting back to where you were. The goal is to come back better than you were... moving better, loading better, and more resilient than before the injury happened.

We don't just rehab the injury. We rebuild the athlete. Completely.

PHASE 1

Out of pain

Where most rehab stops.

PHASE 2

Back to your best

Rebuilding capacity, not just stopping once symptoms settle.

PHASE 3

Exceeding what you were

The goal? Not just getting back, but getting better than you were before.

THE MODEL

This isn't a 20-minute appointment
and a theraband.

MEO is a boutique performance rehabilitation practice. That means:

01

Extended sessions

Enough time to actually assess the whole picture, not just treat where it hurts, but where it started. The source and the site of pain aren't always the same place.

02

A performance target, not a symptom target

Your first session ends with a specific, measurable answer to "what does success look like?" Not "less pain." Something specific. Something that means something to you.

03

Training through, not around

Where possible, you keep training. Modified, structured, purposeful, but you stay an athlete throughout the entire process. Stopping isn't rehab. It's just stopping.

04

A plan that ends at performance, not pain-free

Most rehab ends after Phase 1. Ours doesn't.

THE DIFFERENCE

What changes when someone's
actually in your corner.

Before

  • Rested for weeks, it still flares back up
  • Told to just stop training, no real alternative
  • Doing exercises with no idea why
  • Scared to push in case you undo everything
  • No idea if you're actually ready

After

  • A plan that works around your training, not instead of it
  • You understand exactly why you're doing what you're doing
  • Direct access to me the moment something feels off
  • Confidence built on what you can demonstrate, not hope
  • Tested and cleared to perform, not just cleared of pain

THE JOURNEY

From first session to back on the field.

Three steps. No guesswork, no surprises.

Step 3

Train & return

Cleared to perform, not just cleared of pain, with the goal of returning better than you left.

Still deciding?
The honest answers.

Does online rehab actually work?

Yes. Online rehab follows the same principles as in-person: thorough assessment, an individualised plan, and regular check-ins, with the same attention to detail.

How is this different from an app or a generic PDF of exercises?

This is bespoke rehab and coaching from a practitioner, not a one-and-done plan you're handed and left to run. It's adjusted as you go, so you get the most out of every week.

What's the difference between an Initial and a Subsequent consultation?

Your Initial consultation covers a full assessment of your history, movement and goals, and sets out a plan. Subsequent consultations build on that plan: hands-on rehab, coaching, or progress checks, depending on where you're at.

How do I choose between in-person, online, or the full package?

If you're in Brisbane, and want face-to-face rehab, go in-person. If you're remote or time-poor, online covers the same ground. If you want ongoing support and programming over 12 weeks, the Peak Performance package is built for you.

Can I claim these sessions with my private health fund?

Yes! All sessions are claimable under Physiotherapy cover with your respective private health fund, pending your individual policy inclusions.
