Welcome to MEO Rehab & Performance ("MEO", "we", "us", or "our"), a boutique performance physical rehabilitation practice operated by Mitch Scott (Registered Physiotherapist, AHPRA Registration: PHY0002913492).
By accessing our website, booking a consultation, or purchasing any in-person or online services or program packages, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of Practice and Professional Standard
MEO is a professional performance rehabilitation and athletic coaching service. All clinical services (such as in-person or online initial and subsequent physiotherapy consultations) are delivered in accordance with the professional registration standards, codes of conduct, and guidelines set by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Our physical treatment and athletic performance programs are evidence-based and patient-centred, designed to assist you in active recovery and physical conditioning.
- We recognize and work strictly within the limits of our professional skills and competence. If your injury or condition is outside our scope, we will refer you to an appropriate specialist or healthcare professional in your best interests.
2. Fees, Payments, and Informed Financial Consent
Under Section 4.2 of the AHPRA Shared Code of Conduct, MEO is dedicated to ensuring you have complete financial transparency and consent before any services are rendered.
- Pricing Disclosure: The costs of all consultation types (Initial, Subsequent) and specialized programs (e.g., the 12-Week Hybrid Rehab & Peak Performance Package) are fully disclosed on our booking portal.
- Financial Agreement: By booking a session or applying for a package, you provide informed financial consent to the fees associated with that service. Fees must be paid in full at the time of booking or immediately following the consultation, unless prior structured payment plans are agreed upon.
- Private Health Insurance Claims: In-person and online consultations may be claimable under Physiotherapy cover with your respective private health insurance fund. Eligibility is subject to your individual policy inclusions, and MEO is not responsible for any rejected claims.
3. Bookings, Cancellations, and Rescheduling Policy
- Booking Policy: Consultations are strictly by appointment only and must be booked through our secure integrated booking portal.
- Cancellation Notice: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of any in-person or online individual consultation.
- Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the consultation fee. Cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled session, or failure to attend a scheduled session without notice, will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the consultation fee.
- Specialized Packages: For the 12-Week Hybrid Rehab & Peak Performance Package, terms regarding pause thresholds, session expirations, and cancellation policies are detailed in your specific Client Service Agreement prior to purchase.
4. Website Use, Content, and Social Media Obligations
MEO provides educational and motivational content on our website and social media platforms, including Instagram (@mitchscottrehab).
- Information Only: Website content, rehabilitation tips, or exercise videos do not constitute personalized clinical advice. They are designed for general information purposes. You should never substitute general online tips for a professional medical assessment.
- No Clinical Testimonials: Under Section 8.5 of the National Law, health practitioners are strictly prohibited from utilizing testimonials regarding the clinical aspects of a regulated health service. Users, clients, and patients must not post reviews, comments, or success stories discussing specific clinical recovery or treatment outcomes on MEO's social media channels, as AHPRA guidelines require the prompt removal of such clinical testimonials.
- Respect and Anti-Harassment: MEO maintains a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, racism, bullying, or harassment on our website, booking platforms, and social media. Any abusive, disrespectful, or culturally unsafe behavior will result in immediate termination of the user's access.
5. Professional Boundary Protection

- The relationship between you and your treating practitioner at MEO is strictly professional and objective.
- We will strictly adhere to the AHPRA guidelines concerning professional and sexual boundaries.
- MEO maintains a strict policy: there is no place for personal, sexual, or exploitative behavior within the therapeutic relationship. Any breach of professional boundaries will be subject to appropriate regulatory investigation.
6. Limitations of Liability and Disclaimers
- No Guarantees of Benefit: Physical rehabilitation and athletic coaching require active participation, compliance, and individual physiological responses. While we strive to support your long-term athletic resilience, MEO does not guarantee specific clinical outcomes or that you will exceed or return to any pre-injury state (in compliance with AHPRA advertising standards prohibiting unreasonable expectations of benefit).
- Individual Responsibility: You are responsible for accurately disclosing all medical history, current physical limitations, and any discomfort or pain experienced during exercise. You must follow safety instructions and modify training as directed.
